The best upsell app for Shopify depends on one thing most lists skip: where you want the offer to show up. An upsell can show up on the product page, in the cart, in the checkout, or after the order is placed. Each spot works best for a different kind of store, and most apps are strongest in one or two of them.
So this guide to the best Shopify upsell apps is sorted by placement, not by star rating. For each app, you’ll see where it shows up and how its pricing works as you grow. You’ll also get the one trade-off worth knowing before you install it.
The Four Places an Upsell Can Show Up

Think of your store as a path. A shopper lands on a product, adds it to the cart, checks out, and then sees a confirmation page. You can make an offer at each step, and each one asks for a different kind of yes.
- Product page. The shopper hasn’t decided yet. Bundles, “buy two, save 10%” deals, and add-ons work here because they shape the first purchase. This spot is best for stores where people often buy more than one of something.
- Cart. The shopper has decided but hasn’t paid. A small add-on, a “frequently bought together” item, or a free-shipping bar can raise the order total without slowing them down. This is the easiest place to start for most stores.
- Checkout. The shopper is typing in their details. Offers here can work, but on Shopify they mostly need the Shopify Plus plan. More on that below.
- After purchase. The order is placed, and the card is already on file. A one-click offer on the post-purchase page, or a cross-sell on the thank-you page, comes after the first sale is complete. A shopper who says no still keeps the order they just placed, so the offer can’t cause them to abandon checkout. If you want the one-click upsell approach, this is where it lives.
If you’re new to upselling, start with the cart or the post-purchase page. They’re the lowest-risk places to test an offer. For the basics of what makes a good offer, see how upselling works.
How These Apps Were Picked
The Shopify App Store has a long list of upsell apps. This guide started with the ones that come up most often, both in the App Store’s upsell category and in independent reviews. Then each one was checked against the same five things:
- Where it shows up: it has to do at least one of the four placements well.
- How it’s priced: what you pay today, and how that changes as your store grows.
- What merchants say: its rating and number of reviews on the App Store.
- Built for Shopify: whether Shopify has given it the badge.
- The trade-off: one real limit worth knowing before you install.
Every price, plan, rating, and badge comes from the app’s own App Store listing, checked in October 2026. When a claim comes from the app maker, it’s labeled that way. No app paid to be included. ClickFunnels offers a different way to sell with upsells, and that’s covered in its own clearly labeled section near the end.
Shopify Upsell Apps Compared at a Glance
App plans change often, so check each listing before you install.
| App | Main placement | Pricing model | Free plan | Built for Shopify | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bundler | Product page | Flat monthly price, from $9.99 | Yes, with no order or revenue limits | Yes | Bundles and quantity breaks on a budget |
| BOGOS | Product page and cart | Based on your Shopify plan and offer orders, from $29.99 | 30 offer orders, total | Yes | Free gifts and “buy one, get one” deals |
| Selleasy | Cart and product page | Based on your store’s total orders, from $9 | Up to 50 orders a month | Yes | Beginners who want one simple, low-cost app |
| Candy Rack | Whole journey, with its own cart drawer | Based on your store’s orders, from $29.99 | Trial and development stores only | Yes | Stores that want one app for every placement |
| Zipify OCU | After purchase | Based on upsell revenue, from $9.95, capped at $999 | Development stores only | Yes | Stores that only want to pay when upsells earn |
| ReConvert | After purchase and thank-you page | Based on store orders or upsell revenue, whichever is larger, from $9.99 | Up to 50 orders or $50 in upsell revenue | No | Thank-you page offers and full upsell funnels |
| Honeycomb | Whole journey | Based on monthly funnel views, from $54.99 | 100 funnel views a month | No | Testing every placement for free |
“Built for Shopify” is a badge Shopify gives apps that meet its standards for being easy to use, safe, and performant. An app without it can still be a good app. The badge just means Shopify has checked it against a stricter list.
Product Page Upsell Apps
These apps shape the first purchase. They work best when people often buy more than one item, or when a gift or bundle makes the deal feel bigger.
1. Bundler

Bundler does one job well. It lets you build bundles, “buy X, get Y” deals, and quantity breaks on the product page, like “buy 3, save 15%.”
Where it shows up: Product page, with funnel-style upsells on paid plans.
Pricing: The free plan covers bundles, volume discounts, quantity breaks, and product page upsells, with no cap on orders or revenue. Premium is $9.99 a month and adds mix-and-match bundles and funnel upsells. Executive is $19.99 a month and adds bundle analytics. (Bundler pricing, as of October 2026.)
Rating: 4.9 stars from 2,700+ reviews. Built for Shopify.
The trade-off: Bundler is a discount tool at heart. Every offer it makes is a price cut. That’s great for moving more units, but keep an eye on your margins. It’s also not a post-purchase app, so you’d pair it with one if you want offers after checkout.
2. BOGOS

BOGOS is the go-to app for free gifts with purchase, “buy one, get one” deals, and build-a-box bundles. It also runs offers on Shopify POS, so the same deal can work in a physical store.
Where it shows up: Product page and cart. Checkout upsells come with the Plus plan, for Shopify Plus stores.
Pricing: The plan you need depends on your Shopify plan. Basic is $29.99 a month for stores on Shopify’s Basic plan and includes 300 offer orders a month. Grow is $49.99 a month and includes 600. Plus is $109.99 a month and includes 2,000. Past those limits, each extra offer order costs $0.05. Paying yearly saves 20%. (BOGOS pricing, as of October 2026.)
Rating: 5.0 stars from 4,400+ reviews. Built for Shopify.
The trade-off: The free plan is really a trial. It covers 30 offer orders in total, not per month. Plan on paying once your gift offer starts working.
Cart Upsell Apps
The cart is where most stores should start. The shopper has already said yes, so a small, related add-on feels helpful, not pushy. Our guide to cross-selling and upselling covers how to pick the right add-on. To get ideas for offers that fit, see our list of ways to raise your average order value.
3. Selleasy

Selleasy, by Logbase, is a popular pick for stores that are new to upselling. It covers “frequently bought together” bundles, product add-ons, and in-cart upsells, with post-purchase and thank-you page offers too.
Where it shows up: Product page and cart drawer, plus checkout, post-purchase, and thank-you page offers.
Pricing: Free for stores with up to 50 orders a month. Then $9 a month up to 500 orders, $19 a month up to 1,000, and $29 a month above that. Every plan includes the same 18 upsell and cross-sell options. (Selleasy pricing, as of October 2026.)
Rating: 4.9 stars from 2,700+ reviews. Built for Shopify.
The trade-off: The price follows your store’s total order count, not just the orders your upsells touch. That’s still cheap for most stores. Just know that a busy month moves you up a tier, even if few shoppers took the offer.
4. Candy Rack

Candy Rack, by Digismoothie, shows offers at every step: product page, cart, checkout, and post-purchase. It comes with its own slide-out cart drawer and uses AI to suggest which products to offer.
Where it shows up: The whole journey, built around its own cart drawer.
Pricing: Lite is $29.99 a month for up to 50 orders. Starter is $39.99 a month for 51 to 200 orders. Growth is $59.99 a month for 201 to 500 orders. Every plan has unlimited upsell revenue and a 60-day money-back guarantee. (Candy Rack pricing, as of October 2026.)
Rating: 4.9 stars from 250+ reviews. Built for Shopify.
The trade-off: There’s no free plan for live stores, and it costs more to start than the other cart apps here. Its built-in cart drawer is also a big part of how it works. If your theme already has a cart drawer you like, or you use another cart app, test how they work together first.
Checkout Upsells: Mostly a Shopify Plus Feature
You’ll see “checkout upsells” on a lot of app listings. Read that line closely.
On Shopify, apps that change the information, shipping, and payment steps of checkout are only available on Shopify Plus. If your store is on Basic, Shopify, or Advanced, an in-checkout offer usually isn’t an option, no matter which app you pick. Several apps on this list, including Zipify OCU, ReConvert, and BOGOS, mark their in-checkout offers as Shopify Plus only.
The good news is that the steps around checkout are open to most plans. Post-purchase offers and thank-you page offers both work on Basic Shopify and higher, per that same Shopify help page. That’s why the next group of apps matters so much for stores that aren’t on Plus.
Post-Purchase and Thank-You Page Upsell Apps
These apps show an offer after the order is placed. The shopper has already paid, so a “yes” adds to the order, and a “no” leaves the original order as it was. One-click post-purchase offers let the shopper add an item without typing their card again.
5. Zipify OCU

Zipify OneClickUpsell covers every placement in one app: product page, cart drawer, one-click post-purchase, thank-you page, and checkout for Plus stores. It’s best known for its one-click post-purchase funnel, with AI offers and A/B testing.
Where it shows up: After purchase first, with product page, cart, and thank-you page offers too.
Pricing: Zipify charges by how much your upsells earn, not by your order count. You pay $9.95 a month while upsells bring in up to $200 a month. Between $200 and $2,500 a month in upsell revenue, the price steps from $25 to $99. Above $2,500, it starts at $149 a month and never goes past $999. Every tier gets every feature. (Zipify OCU pricing, as of October 2026.)
Rating: 4.6 stars from 550+ reviews. Built for Shopify.
The trade-off: The price grows with your success. That’s fair when you’re small, since you only pay more when the app earns more. At high volume, though, a flat-price app may cost less. See the pricing watch-out below.
6. ReConvert

ReConvert, now run by Upsell.com, is known for thank-you page offers. It also covers product page and cart upsells, bundles, and one-click post-purchase funnels.
Where it shows up: Post-purchase and thank-you page first, plus product page and cart. Checkout upsells need Shopify Plus.
Pricing: Free for up to 50 orders or $50 in upsell revenue. Then $9.99 a month for 51 to 100, $19.99 a month for 101 to 200, and $39.99 a month for 201 to 500. (ReConvert pricing, as of October 2026.)
In a reply to a merchant review, ReConvert says your tier is based on whichever is larger: your upsell revenue or your total store orders.
Rating: 4.8 stars from 3,100+ reviews. Not Built for Shopify as of October 2026.
The trade-off: Your tier follows whichever number is larger. So a strong month for upsells can move you up a tier, even if your order count stays the same. It also doesn’t carry the Built for Shopify badge right now. That doesn’t make it a bad app, and its review count shows lots of happy users. It just hasn’t been checked against Shopify’s stricter list.
7. Honeycomb

Honeycomb, by Conversion Bear, is the free way to test the whole path. Its free plan includes product page, cart, one-click post-purchase, and thank-you page upsells, plus split tests.
Where it shows up: The whole journey.
Pricing: Free for 100 funnel views a month. Silver is $54.99 a month for 2,000 views. Gold is $109.99 a month for 5,000. Platinum is $169.99 a month for 10,000. (Honeycomb pricing, as of October 2026.)
Rating: 4.6 stars from 150+ reviews. Not Built for Shopify as of October 2026.
The trade-off: 100 funnel views a month goes fast for a store with real traffic. The first paid step is $54.99 a month, which is a big jump. Use the free plan to learn which placement works for you. Then compare prices for that one placement.
Watch-Outs Before You Install
Too many upsell apps in one cart. It’s easy to end up with three apps all trying to show an offer at once. Think a bundle app, a gift app, and a cart app. Offers can stack, discounts can clash, and two cart drawers can fight each other. Pick one app per placement. If one app covers two placements well, that’s even better.
Speed. Shopify lists installed apps as one of the main things that affect store speed, along with your theme. Every app that loads on your storefront adds a little weight. Removing an app doesn’t always remove its code, either. After you uninstall one, check your theme or ask the developer how to clean up.
Checkout offers and your Shopify plan. As covered above, in-checkout offers mostly need Shopify Plus. Don’t pay for a plan tier just to get a checkout feature your store can’t use.
Post-purchase limits. Post-purchase offers don’t show on every order. Per Shopify’s developer docs, they’re skipped when the shopper pays with Apple Pay or Google Pay. The same goes for pay-later services like Klarna or Affirm, and for gift cards. They also don’t show on local delivery orders, orders with duties in more than one currency, or orders placed outside your online store. A shopper can accept up to three post-purchase offers per checkout. If many of your shoppers pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, expect fewer of them to see the offer.
Pricing at scale. The pricing model matters more as you grow. Here’s a simple example for a store with 400 orders a month:
- Selleasy charges by total orders: $9 a month.
- ReConvert’s 201 to 500 tier: $39.99 a month, as long as upsell revenue also stays at $500 or less.
- Candy Rack’s Growth plan: $59.99 a month.
- Zipify charges by upsell revenue: $25 to $99 a month if upsells bring in $200 to $2,500. Above that, it’s $149 or more.
None of these is wrong. A revenue-based price is easy to justify when it’s small. A flat or order-based price is easier to plan for. Know which kind you’re signing up for before your store doubles.
When the App Isn’t the Answer: Funnel-Based Selling
Every app above adds offers to a Shopify store. For most stores, that’s the right move. But some stores don’t really need a better upsell app. They need a different way to sell.
Maybe you sell one hero product, run launch-style promotions, or sell a digital product alongside a physical one. If so, a sales funnel can do the job your storefront and apps are doing now. A funnel walks the shopper down one path: one offer, one checkout, then an upsell and a downsell. There’s no catalog to browse and no cart to abandon. There’s more on this in single-product funnels vs. online stores.
To be clear about what it isn’t: ClickFunnels is not a Shopify app, and it’s not built for stores where shoppers browse a large catalog. If that’s your store, stick with the apps above. But if your sales come from one offer at a time, ClickFunnels can help. It gives you funnel pages, checkout, order bumps, and one-click upsells in one place, without stacking apps.
Here’s what that looks like for a single hero product, a natural shampoo with a $50 launch price.

After the shopper pays, the funnel makes its first offer: a two-product bundle for $80. One click adds it to the order. There’s no second checkout.

If they say no, they see a smaller offer instead: one product for $60. Then they land on the thank-you page.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best free upsell app for Shopify?
Bundler has the most generous free plan for bundles and quantity breaks, with no order or revenue limits. Honeycomb’s free plan covers every placement but stops at 100 funnel views a month. Selleasy is free for stores with up to 50 orders a month.
What is a post-purchase upsell?
A post-purchase upsell is an offer that shows up after the shopper pays but before they see the thank-you page. Because their payment details are already on file, they can add the item with one click. Because the first order is already complete, saying no can’t cause the shopper to abandon checkout. Shopify doesn’t show these offers on every order, though. For example, they’re skipped when the shopper pays with Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Do upsell apps slow down my store?
Yes, but use one app per placement. Two apps trying to show offers in the same cart can clash. A common setup is one cart or product page app plus one post-purchase app.
Can I use multiple upsell apps?
Yes, but use one app per placement. Two apps trying to show offers in the same cart can clash. A common setup is one cart or product page app plus one post-purchase app.
Do I need Shopify Plus for checkout upsells?
For offers inside the checkout itself, mostly yes. Shopify limits changes to the information, shipping, and payment steps to Shopify Plus. Post-purchase and thank-you page offers work on Basic Shopify and higher.
